We have had some cases over the past few months where clients have paid Income Tax (or some other tax types) to IRD based on what they can see online in myIR, when amounts were not actually payable.
Just a word of caution – If you have any doubt / confusion about whether an amount is payable, and we have not advised you to pay it, then we recommend that you check with us first, BEFORE making payment to IRD.
This will save both you and us unnecessary time and cost in trying to recover amounts from IRD that have been paid unnecessarily.
