Is Your Business Eligible For The Resurgence Support Payment?

The Resurgence Support Payment was launched to assist small businesses to cover expenses as wages and fixed costs, when there is move to Alert Level 2 or above for a week or more.

For the 14 February Alert Level Escalation, the last day to apply through myIR is 22 March 2021.

For the Alert Level Escalation on February 28th, applications open March 8th and will remain open for one month after New Zealand has returned to Alert Level 1.

The payment is not a loan, so it does not need to be repaid. The payment includes a core per business rate of $1,500 plus $400 per employee – up to a total of 50 FTEs ($21,500). To be eligible businesses must have experienced a 30% drop in revenue over a seven day period.

Revenue is compared to a typical 7 day period in the 6 weeks prior to the change in alert level.

Businesses and organisations (including sole traders) must have been in business for at least 6 months.
